Project Description
Roman House is the transformation of a tired existing office building into ‘Manhattan style’ private residential apartments in the centre of York for The Skelwith Group.
The project comprises 47 high specification apartments over four storeys, which are characterised by extensive open plan living areas and terraces. In addition, separate retail units are located on the Ground Floor.
A detailed fire engineering solution was necessary to ensure that the modern open-plan apartment designs could fit within the restrictions of the existing building whilst maintaining an appropriate fire safety performance.
