Project Description
The Victoria & Albert museum site is a world renowned institution with buildings from the mid 19th Century to the early 20th Century (including Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings). In addition to the main buildings, various construction works have been undertaken during the 20th Century, and future development projects will see the completion of new buildings within the next few decades.
DFC developed fire strategy for the entire site to ensure an adequate standard of life safety was provided and maintained for future redevelopment, with consideration to the historic nature of the buildings. The works included a detailed assessment of available documentation, as well as a site survey of the existing buildings to ascertain key as-built information.
