DFC would like to welcome Nick Swailes to the Leeds office. Nick joins us with a BEng and an MSc in Fire and Explosion Engineering and brings six years of consultancy experience. He has worked in a broad range of sectors including Healthcare, Rail, Commercial, Entertainment, Residential and Education. He has experience working throughout the construction lifecycle having been involved in design, construction, operational management, due diligence, risk assessment and expert witness work.

Prior to joining DFC, his projects included Elland Road Stadium, Sheffield Children’s Hospital, and Royal Arena Copenhagen.

Nick has a keen interest in issues surrounding evacuation and means of escape, especially in the evacuation of disabled people. He has undertaken numerous evacuation modelling projects, written and delivered evacuation modelling training and authored papers on the subject.
