Project Description
Manchester Technology Centre at Oxford House has recently undergone a refurbishment of the majority of the ground floor. This included a ‘tech incubator’ shared office space for start-ups and technology businesses, under the Manchester Science Partnerships, and an open plan main entrance reception area. The centre provides dedicated co-working space for tech businesses in Manchester’s Innovation District on the Oxford Road corridor.
DFC produced the Building Regulations fire strategy, the key challenges of which were the constraints of the existing means of escape including shared escape with the redeveloped ground floor, refurbishment of the existing mezzanine level to provide much needed office space and co-ordination of the new building with the existing fire risk assessments for the buildings and tenants.
