We have recently welcomed Gareth Ainley to DFC. Gareth has joined as an Associate, initially based in our Leeds office but will then be supporting the opening of the new Sheffield office.

Gareth is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) with a BEng (Hons) in Fire Engineering from the University of Leeds. Prior to joining DFC, Gareth worked for an international multi-disciplinary engineering company where he spent 19-years in their Leeds and Sheffield offices. Over those years he has developed a wealth of knowledge having worked on most building types and has significant experience on volumetric modular design, arenas, mixed-use commercial developments and educational buildings as well as energy from waste facilities, converter stations and other industrial building types.

Outside of work, Gareth enjoys going hiking, swimming and cycling and had a lovely break in Lanzarote before joining the team.
