We have recently welcomed George Wood to DFC. George has joined as a Senior Engineer, based in our Leeds office.

George is an Associate member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) with a MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Huddersfield. Prior to joining DFC, George has worked for an international multi-disciplinary engineering company for several years followed by two more years at a single-discipline fire engineering firm in Leeds.

During this time, he has built up a good knowledge of various building types from residential to offices, to sports stadiums, as well as entertainment venues. George has worked in a wide range of industries including healthcare, heritage, factories/warehousing, and manufacturing facilities.

Outside of work, George enjoys going mountain biking, walking and socialising with his family and friends.
