Project Description
Rochdale Town Hall is a Grade I listed Victorian Gothic building, built in 1871. The restoration project, spanning three phases, aimed to create new and improved public spaces for weddings, exhibitions, education facilities, and a café. From RIBA Stage 2 through to construction, DFC provided fire safety advice to preserve the building’s heritage while enhancing safety and occupancy levels. Bespoke fire engineered solutions were developed to ensure compliance with Fire Safety Part B, using modern guidance, tailored Historic England design guidance, and fire engineering principles.
