Agboola Ogunleye
Engineer
Agboola joined DFC in August 2021, after graduating with a Masters in Structural and Fire Safety Engineering from the University of Edinburgh.
Agboola’s interests lie in heritage and conservation projects, especially those involving listed structures. Since joining DFC, Agboola has developed this interest and has been involved in a wide range of projects including a conservation project involving a Grade 2* listed building which introduces some unique design constraints.
During his master’s degree, Agboola’s thesis research was centred on investigating scope for socioeconomic disparities within residential fire safety in England. The impetus of the research derived from the outcries of socioeconomic inequalities in housing and safety following the fire at Grenfell Tower in 2017. From this research topic, Agboola gained an appreciation for the complexities associated with the implementation of fire safety measures in domestic settings.
