Project Description
Embankment West provides 356 private rental apartments and 147 medium term aparthotel units across three towers. The towers are 17, 15 and 17 storeys respectively and are each served by a single core with extended travel distances. DFC provided full fire engineering services including smoke control analysis of the extended corridors in each block to drive efficiency for our client.
As a landlocked city centre site, the development has provided some key challenges for fire service access and external fire spread. As part of the enabling works, DFC has also worked alongside Network Rail in producing a fire strategy for both the temporary and permanent conditions for the adjacent Victoria Depot.
