Project Description
May 2019 saw the completion of the Heron House Office Building refurbishment in Manchester. Design Fire Consultants worked with the design team to produce a fire strategy report for this existing 7-storey office building. The retail units on the Ground Floor were outside of this work. A bespoke means of escape assessment was carried out to maximise capacity in the office building due to the retention of the existing stair cores and their exit conditions.
DFC provided advice to the project team through design, construction and some office fit-outs in the building.
