Project Description
No.1 Old Trafford is an iconic waterfront residential regeneration development. The project provides 354 apartments across two towers, each of which is 15 and 18-storeys tall respectively. The two towers are connected via a single-storey podium consisting of retail spaces, residents’ amenities and car park.
Early involvement in the design allowed DFC to implement many fire safety solutions, including extension of travel distances through the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis. Fire safety in the external wall construction was one of the main focusses during construction stage – a specification case study of this has been selected and published in the Architects’ Journal – Case Study: No.1 Old Trafford.
