Project Description
The Stockton Globe project entails the restoration of the existing Grade II listed Art Deco theatre, in Stockton-on-Tees, England. The theatre required extensive investigative works led by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council in collaboration with Willmott Dixon Construction. DFC was appointed the project’s fire engineer in 2015 and has developed the fire safety strategy for the building to the satisfaction of the local Building Control and Fire Service authorities. As an existing building in a dilapidated condition, the design and implementation of the fire strategy is subject to ongoing alteration brought about by the findings on site. By actively engaging and managing project change, DFC’s work assists in maintaining cost efficiency and delivery of an approvable scheme for the client on behalf of the contractor.
