Project Description
DFC provided a full scope of fire safety engineering services on the VITA Leeds St Albans Place project. Together with early design input, Building Regulations approval was supported with Fire and Smoke modelling through Computational Fluid Dynamics, and a detailed fire strategy report. Full consultation was undertaken with Ball and Berry Approved Inspectors and West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, prior to start on site. During construction DFC provided a Fire Risk Assessment to facilitate Kier’s operations. Following novation, DFC acted as fire strategy custodians on behalf of the contractor, delivering the design fire strategy, and managing change. The project was delivered four weeks early facilitating early move-in.
