Next Generation Fire Engineering – Apprenticeship
Design Fire Consultants Ltd (DFC) is pleased to announce its continued partnership with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) for the upcoming Fire Engineering Degree Apprenticeship programme. Building upon the successes of the previous year’s collaboration, DFC remains committed to fostering learning and professional development in the field of fire engineering.
The Fire Safety Engineering Apprenticeship programme offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain a recognised academic qualification (BEng) while acquiring invaluable practical skills and experience. This blended approach of combining academic study with on-the-job training acts as a springboard for a successful career in fire safety engineering, equipping apprentices with the tools they need to excel.
DFC is proud to contribute to this programme by offering valuable mentorship and first-hand insights. Apprentices benefit from participating in various impactful experiences, including attending DFC’s annual CPD training at one of the UK’s leading Fire Research Centres and an opportunity to learn from real-life projects. Apprentices also receive all the benefits of being a student at UCLan, including access to state-of-the-art facilities. Furthermore, the Fire Safety Engineering Apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to earn a competitive salary whilst undertaking a degree program at no cost to the apprentice.
“We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with UCLan,” said Iain Macfarlane, DFC Director. “This programme plays a vital role in shaping the future of fire engineering, and DFC is committed to supporting the development of highly skilled professionals in this critical field.”
