We have recently welcomed James Mawdsley to DFC. James has joined as a Fire Engineer, based in our Manchester office.

James brings 19 years’ of experience from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, where he served as an operational and specialist officer, and is currently in his third year of BEng in Fire engineering at University of Central Lancashire.

James spent the most recent three years of his career leading the High Rise Task Force, therefore he has worked with a range of stakeholders to ensure that residential high rise buildings are safe in Greater Manchester. In addition to his time in the High Rise Team, James also worked as a Fire Safety Enforcement Officer and has experience in an extensive range of premises, from sports stadia and licensed venues to open air events and specialised housing.

Outside of work James enjoys spending time in the outdoors and regularly climbs mountains around the UK.
