Neal joined DFC in 2015 and brings over 20 years’ of experience in fire engineering to the team. Neal’s key strengths are his ingenuity, quality of thinking and the ability to form strong team working relationships. He prides himself on his continuous acquisition of technical knowledge, which enables him to deliver practical, high value solutions for his clients. In this regard, he has a proven track record across sectors, project stages and fire engineering specialisms both nationally and internationally.
Neal is internationally recognised within the fire engineering community. His active engagement with the Institution of Fire Engineers, industry and academia ensures that he leads industry standards and he is able to deliver state of the art technologies and methodologies.
Selected innovative project solutions include: Sky Building 2 which uses entirely open escape stairs; Sky Health and Fitness Centre which adopts exposed mass timber construction; and both ‘The Scalpel’ (52 Lime Street) and the London 2012 Olympic Stadium which required innovative structural fire engineering assessment methodologies.
