Ross joined DFC in April 2018. He has achieved an MSc in Building Services Engineering Management and a BEng (Hons) in Building Services Engineering.
Ross joined DFC from the mechanical ventilation industry, where he gained over 15 years of experience in providing robust technical designs for fire safety systems. He has technical expertise in the design and specification of Smoke Control systems, including Pressurisation Systems and Mechanical Smoke Extract Systems, across the sector of building types; Offices, Retail, Hotels and Residential. Ross also has technical expertise in strategies for road and rail tunnels as well as underground or enclosed car parks and loading bays. This draws on his detailed knowledge of smoke management, air movement technology and CFD modelling.
Ross has led and contributed to the fire safety design for a diverse range of projects in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. His experience in fire safety engineering ranges from concept fire safety strategy, through developed design and to installation and commissioning.
