Waqas Haider joins DFC

A new addition to our team is Waqas Haider. Waqas has a background in civil and structural engineering. Before joining DFC Waqas worked on different infrastructure projects, and particularly enjoyed working on the Neelum Jhelum Hydropower project in Pakistan.

He recently graduated with an International Master of Science in Fire Safety Engineering (IMFSE) and joined DFC in September 2020. His Masters degree included studying in Edinburgh, Belgium, Sweden and Queensland. He is now based in our Leeds office.

“I am very excited to join DFC. I started working while I was in quarantine after arriving in the UK. Everyone was so supportive which made it easier to work and get settled.

I like cycling. I am not a very keen biker but I do like a cycle in the evening. I guess, in a couple of months, I will be more passionate about biking in the company of Jonny, Eoghan, Adam, Neal and Matt 😊”

Yes, he put a smiley face in his quote.
